Nigel is an experienced and impartial construction professional specialising in the resolution of disputes and contentious issues on highways, structures, water, rail and infrastructure projects. He provides expert opinion and findings on such matters as the interpretation of contract documents, quantum, delay and disruption, extensions of time, interim/final accounts, variations and contractual claims. He has spent over 30 years as a practising Quantity Surveyor working exclusively on civil engineering projects. Nigel is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Fellow of the Institute of Highways and Transportation, Member of the Society of Construction Law, Member of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (USA) and included in the UK Register of Expert Witnesses. He holds a post-graduate Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration, and is a listed arbitrator with various international arbitral organisations. Acted as party representative in many adjudications, and as a quantum expert in arbitration. Detailed knowledge of Dispute Boards practice and procedure, and a listed Dispute Board member with the DRBF. Particular expertise in ICE, NEC and FIDIC contract conditions.
